Life Framer Editors’ Pick

“Vivid Death Valley” – an image that I took in March 2016 – was mentioned in the Editors’ Pick of the Life Framer Competition “Civilization”.

The picture shows a colorful group of tourists on their way to the vast, empty, and open space of the Badwater Basin. It provokes questions. What are all these people doing here? What are they looking for in one of the aridest places in the world?

During my springtime travels to Death Valley, I had the opportunity to see the desert blooming. This event can only be observed about once in a decade.
