Exhibition „Blickwechsel“ at Municipal Gallery Luedenscheid

For the first time, images from the ‘Looking at Art’ series can be seen in a gallery. This is very remarkable in two ways. Firstly, these photographs were created as Facebook posts and were never intended to be shown in a museum setting. This is important because the pictures you make are also designed and captured by their intentions. But it is also particularly funny that visitors to the gallery are now looking at pictures of people looking at pictures in galleries and museums.

The incredibly sensitive curation by Dr. Susanne Conzen has resulted in a coherent exhibition that focuses on empathy and a more precise look as well as the human in itself.

It is a great pleasure for me to be featured together with great photographers in this exhibition. Tata Ronkholz and Dirk Vogel are unique and inspiring in their profession. „Blickwechsel“ clearly shows the differences between the works on display in terms of execution and presentation, but also what unites them in terms of both the content and their approach to photography.
